Privacy policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
This policy explains how Figurative, Inc., doing business as Semogram ("Semogram", "we", "us"), collects and uses personal information through semogram.com and the Craven platform. Figurative, Inc. is the controller of that information.
1. Information We Collect
When you send an enquiry, book a call, or use our platform, we collect information you provide directly: your email address, name, company, role, and use case description. We also collect standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and device information through server logs.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Respond to enquiries and coordinate meetings
- Personalize your onboarding experience
- Improve and develop our platform
- Send relevant product communications
- Comply with legal obligations
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure, encrypted infrastructure provided by our hosting and database partners, including encryption in transit and at rest and access rules enforced at the database layer.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with trusted service providers who assist in operating our platform (e.g., email delivery, hosting, analytics), under the providers' standard data processing terms. We may also disclose information when required by law.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You may also opt out of non-essential communications. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@semogram.com.
6. Business Contacts and Prospects
This section covers people we contact about our services in a work capacity, using details we did not get from them directly.
What we hold: your name, job title, employer, work location and public LinkedIn profile URL, sometimes a work email address, and notes from our conversations with you.
Where it comes from: public LinkedIn profiles and LinkedIn search, company websites and press releases, and introductions from mutual contacts.
Why we use it: to contact you about our services and manage our business relationship. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in contacting businesses about relevant services (GDPR Article 6(1)(f), and the Swiss Data Protection Act for contacts in Switzerland). In the EU and Switzerland we do not send promotional email without your prior consent; first contact there happens on LinkedIn.
How long we keep it: if there is no ongoing conversation within 12 months, or sooner if you ask, we delete or anonymise your details. If you ask us not to contact you, we keep only a minimal record, such as your name and profile URL, so that we don't contact you again.
Sharing: we do not sell your details. They are stored with the service providers described in section 4. Our database is hosted on AWS in eu-west-1 (Ireland). Our messages with you on LinkedIn are also held by LinkedIn under its own privacy policy.
Your rights: you can ask for access to your data, correct or delete it, or restrict or object to our use of it. You can object to direct marketing at any time, for any reason. If you object or ask us not to contact you, we stop immediately. Contact privacy@semogram.com. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, such as the one where you live or work.
